A Delicious Treat: Swensen’s Ice Cream and Sundaes

Swensen’s Ice Cream and Sundaes is a newly opened ice cream shop located at Second Floor, The Block, SM North Edsa. It also has a branch at SM Mall of Asia located at Ground Floor South Wing near SM Department store. Swensen’s is an international ice cream shop that has over 300 franchises worldwide.

The first Swensen’s ice cream parlor was opened in San Francisco in 1948 by its founder Earle Swensen. It was built on three founding principles that have never been refined: quality, variety and value for money.  Swensen’s only uses the finest ingredients in their ice creams and sundaes.

Their menu ranges from Signature Sundaes (such as Coit Tower, P245 and Gold Rush P220) to an affordable ice cream scoop (which costs P90).  The prices were reasonable because of the appetizing and delectable taste that you can only find at Swensen’s.

We were invited by Swensen’s Philippines Marketing Manager Ace Azarraga to dine at the renowned international ice cream franchise. Together with Wazzup Pilipinas’ founder Ross del Rosario and Vigattin Radio’s anchor Den Macaranas, we had an opportunity to have the ultimate ice cream experience.

Den was able to try the Coffee Mocha Almond that costs P245; it was a coffee flavored ice cream with nuts, hot fudge, caramel and almonds that was served in a parfait glass. Meanwhile, Ross had a mouthful of Oreo Brownie which costs P265; it was served with a crispy waffle basket with chunky brownies and Oreo cookies.

Mine was a bowl of Crispy Cocktail (P265); just like the Oreo Brownie, this basket sundae was also served with crispy waffle basket with assorted tropical fruits and whipped cream topped with Almonds. Its appearance was really tempting! The Crispy Cocktail has  soft, smooth and mouthwatering taste.

We really enjoyed everything at Swensen’s. The ice cream sundaes were delighting that it’s like a powerful spell ! We had a full tummy and we’re definitely satisfied! They have presented the ice cream very well, very soothing to our eyes.

Conclusion: Swensen’s Ice Cream and Sundaes has a pleasant and relaxing ambience. The local owners stayed true to the original concept that the Swensen’s founder made. They have good customer service, where the staffs are courteous and accommodating.

Swensen’s valued their menus very well .  So, if you want to relax and craves for a sundae or ice cream , you can have it here at Swensen’s. Overall, this ice cream parlor deserves a FOUR STAR RATING because it is the best place to get awesome sundaes.

Thank you very much Sir Ace Azarraga (Swensen's PH Marketing Manager) for inviting us!
