The ABS-CBN Broadcast Center, overseeing the ELJCC and the Millennium Transmitter

The Eugenio Lopez, Jr. Communications Center (ELJCC) is a high-end 15-storey building with three basements-level parking areas. It occupies 10,000 m2 of land area and it has a 101,608.32 m2 of gross floor area. It was originally constructed in 2000 and is named after the late Eugenio Lopez, Jr. The ground floor level is a retail area, 2nd to 4th floors are studios and technical rooms, 5th to 12th floors are corporate offices while 13th to 15th floors are the executive offices. On 4 November 2010, a date which would have been Geny Lopez' 82nd birthday, Philippine President Noynoy Aquino and other politicians participated in the building's dedication ceremony. ABS-CBN Film Archives, the cinema library of ABS-CBN, which the Philippine Inquirer describes as the "de facto National Archives" for the cinema of the Philippines, has been located in the basement of ELJCC since 2003. Out of the estimated 8,000 films created since the birth of the Philippine cinema industry, an estimated 5,000 have been lost; of the remaining 3,000, ELJCC holds 2,500 of the total.

The building is listed as an approved IT Center by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority, making export-oriented companies located therein eligible for temporary tax holiday, permanent reduced rate of corporate income tax, and other incentives. It gained this approval in February 2003; however ABS-CBN itself does not receive PEZA tax benefit from this status.

ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation

Located at Mother Ignacia St., cor. Sgt. Esguerra Avenue. it is the largest media broadcasting company in the Philippines. It airs its television broadcast on Channel 2 in Metro Manila and through its radio stations and 10 affiliate radio stations. ABS-CBN produces a wide variety of television programs - drama anthologies, sitcoms.

Getting around the city

Public transportation within the city, like in most of the urban areas in the Philippines, is facilitated mostly using inexpensive jeepneys and buses. Tricycles give access to more secluded areas, while taxi cabs are available to navigate any course.

This City has 3 Circumferential Roads. The following are:

• C-3: Sgt. Emilio Rivera Avenue and Araneta Avenue
• C-4: Epifanio de los Santos Avenue or EDSA
• C-5: Mindanao Avenue, Tandang Sora Avenue, Congressional Avenue Extension, Katipunan Avenue and E. Rodriguez Avenue

Railway

Currently, two elevated light rail systems and one heavy rail system run through Quezon City: LRT 1 – at EDSA (C-4) connecting North Avenue and Baclaran (Manila) LRT 2 – at Aurora Boulevard (R-6) connecting Santolan (Pasig City) and C.M.Recto Avenue (Manila), and MRT 3 – at EDSA (C-4) from Taft Avenue (R-2 in Pasay City) to North Avenue.

An elevated rail transit system (MRT-4) that was supposed to follow the general alignment of Quezon and Commonwealth Avenues (R-7) was shelved. In its place, a 22 kilometer rail system will be built. The MRT-7 project will commence at North Avenue, connecting the MRT-3 at its northern terminus. It will then go through Commonwealth Avenue, then through Regalado, Quirino Highway, ending in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. The system has a proposed spur line to connect itself to MRT-2 in Katipunan, passing through the University of the Philippines Diliman and Katipunan Avenue.
