La Union was imprinted from the nine towns of Pangasinan, three of Ilocos Sur and villages of the Eastern Pais del Igorotes in the Cordilleras. The name La Union indicates the union of towns from different provinces that was formally created by a Royal Decree issued by Queen Isabela of Spain on April 18, 1854.

The serene and prosperous province of La Union has plenty of prided attractions to appreciate. The province is a thriving and progressive community.

Beach Fever!

The province is gifted with alluring beaches that entice tourists especially during weekends. Thus, more new resort areas have mushroomed along the sandy beaches between Bauang and San Fernando.

Agoo-Damortis National Seashore is one of La Union’s tourist attractions. Found in the rustic province of Agoo, Agoo-Damortis National Seashore Park is declared as a National Park. The beach stretches from Santa Rita, Agoo up to Damortis, Rosario. The park is proposed for development as the tourist destination in La Union.
