Five Things to Love at Estrella Falls

1.    No wonder, Estrella Falls has been a favorite destination of tourists in Palawan because it is considered as one of the cleanest inland bodies of water in the Philippines.
2.    Estrella Falls is a secluded destination that features a refreshing swimming area with cascading cool waters from a 20-foot-high falls.
3.    The falls is a good place to spend leisure time, especially family bonding. It has two waterfalls with fresh, cool waters coming from Victoria Peak. The clear water cascades to three natural pools of varying depths. Swimming in its basin is a refreshing activity. There is a depth that is just right for good swimmers. Another pool has a medium depth that is safe for those who do not swim well and the last one is a shallow pool that is ideal for children.
4.    Through the efforts of the municipal government, there are now resort facilities in the area, such as cottages, restrooms, and provisions for grilling. So, it is not a problem if you have barbecues. You can bring food and drinks and enjoy the rest of the day with your family and loved ones.
5.    There are troops of monkeys coming down on the weekends to get handouts from the local kids. Feeding the monkey is an unusual but enjoyable experience at the falls.

How to Get to Estrella Falls

From Manila–Puerto Princessa

Philippine Airlines, PAL Express (formerly Air Philippines), Cebu Pacific, and Zest Air have travel routes from Manila to Puerto Princessa (capital of Palawan).

The Estrella Falls in Narra, Palawan is 95 kilometers to the south of Puerto Princesa City. The falls may be difficult to reach by public transport because it is about 8km from the main road. Best way to do this trip would be to hire a van and driver and do it as a day trip. Bring all the food and drinks you need, perhaps purchase it from one of the Puerto Princesa markets on the way. Grill your food at the falls and don't forget to buy charcoal. Travel time to the falls from Puerto Princesa City is about 2.5 hours.
