Sumptuous Mediterranean and Persian Food at Persia Grill

After Vigattin Radio last Saturday we were invited by Kian Kazemi to dine in Persia’s Grill, their family owned restaurant. So, as usual, we never let the opportunity slip. Kian was a former PBB housemate and also was a cast of several ABS-CBN shows such as Trip na Trip and Habang May Buhay.

Sumptuous Mediterranean and Persian Food at Persia Grill

After Vigattin Radio last Saturday we were invited by Kian Kazemi to dine-in at Persia’s Grill, their family-owned restaurant.  We of course were happy to oblige their generosity.  Kian was a former PBB housemate and a cast of several ABS-CBN shows such as Trip na Trip and Habang May Buhay.

Together with my co-anchors at  Vigattin Radio, Arne Barcelo, Den Macaranas and Ross del Rosario, we dined at their Eco Plaza Branch in Makati. It is just one of the many branches of Persia Grill situated in Metro Manila. We then sat at the best spot where we can savor Persian and Mediterranean dishes.

Persian Grill’s appeasing and relaxing ambience was truly welcoming. Their courteous staff offered us a menu which had a lot of options to choose from. Listed on the menu were numerous versions of kebabs that looked really tasty.  There were also special dishes, appetizers, grilled meats and sandwiches.

Kebab Platter (P665)

So from the Kebab Meals, we chose the Kebab Platter (P665) which was a perfect fit for the four of us. It has six sticks of assorted kebabs (2 Beef Kebabs, 1 Taka, 2 Morg and 1 Chicken Tikka) with grilled tomato, onions and yogurt dip. To compliment the viand is the biryani rice which is a wonderful combination of spices, meat and rice.

Aside from the platter, they also have kebab meals which  are good for one person such as; Chelo Kebab Kubideh (P275), Chelo Kebab Morg (P275), Chelo Kebab Barg (P369), and Chelo Kebab Makhsos (P329). Other assortments are Sticks on the Grill (Beef Kebab Stick, P115; Taka Stick, P160; Morg Stick, 115), Biryanis, P335-P415; Lamb Shank, P490; Tenderloin Steak, 325 and Fish meals, P199-P340.

Their bestsellers, aside from kebabs, are the All Vegetable Musakka(P225) —made of eggplant, onions, tomato, chick peas, cooked in Olive oil served with Pita bread and yogurt and; the Persia Grill Chicken Barbeque (P175)—a top favorite, marinated and cooked Persia Grill style Served with Java rice and veggies.

Peshgahza (Family-P395; Junior-P250)

Tabrizi (P115)

The first dish that we had was the Peshgahza (Family-P395; Junior-P250) — an appetizer that is a combination of their 4 dips (Salad Oliveyeh, P120; Baba Ganoush, P115; Hummus, P120; Must O’Khiar, P115) and served with Pita bread. We also tried their Tabrizi Salad (P115) —mixed greens with cucumber, tomato, black olives, feta cheese in Balsamic Vinaigrette.

Afterwards, we had a good sampling of their kebabs which all tasted great. At the first bite you can already savor the mouthwatering taste.  As you continue to chew it, you can already feel the sudden burst of exotic spices in your mouth. Maybe it’s just a simple dish that resembles a barbecue, but kebabs are entirely different from it.

Lamb Shank served with Biryani Rice (P490)

Mozarella Cheese Puffs (P130)

After having a satisfying meal of kebab, we sipped on  some Creamy Yogurt Shakes(P85) and had some delectable desserts—Must O’ Asal (P130) and Leche Flan (P65). We really had a good time dining at  Persia Grill where we enjoyed the food and services they had. Many thanks to Kian Kazemi for giving us an opportunity to savor their tasty and scrumptious Persian dishes.
