The Philippines continues to emerge with new technologies and innovations that can give more convenience to Filipinos. These include apps like Guestlist and Orange Apps. Vigattin Radio aims to promote this kind of projects which helps Filipinos to be relevant when it comes to technology.

With Mr. Den Macaranas and guest anchor Edlyn Co, we will know more about these new platforms and how do they define the continuing emergence of technology on the Filipino market.

As Vigattin Radio continues to engage on exciting forums about  the new developments over the new brands of entrepreneurship on the tech side of the country. Vigattin Radio invited Ron Baetiong, the CEO and Founder of Guestlist.ph and Gian Javelona, the young CEO and Founder of Orange Apps. Both are technopreneurs who’ve gone through business acceleration programs.

Mr. Ron Baetiong explained that it’s been hard for Filipinos nowadays to make it on the guest-list of some high class clubs, they even need to fall in line and eventually found out that there’s not on the list. So it really sucks if that happens to anyone.

This is why Guestlist.ph was made, to provide Filipinos easy access to these bars. It’s an app made for partying and the easiest way to get in the bets clubs, parties and events over the country.

He added that it started out as a thesis on entrepreneurship during his college days at the University of Santo Tomas and even though he doesn’t know how to code, he pursues with his passion to create Guestlist. Eventually from his simple concept, it now has over 50, 000 users and the platform continues to update with new emerging technologies.

Mr. Gian Javelona, CEO and founder of Orange Aps then talked about of his brand. Orange Apps is an educational company which builds educational technology for schools, institutions and companies.

So what they did is they develop a new product called Khawna which came from the word ‘Ikaw Na’. It is a learning platform where one could learn new skills that are needed in any industry.

He explained that everyone has a vital role to make this country successful bu there’s a huge gap between the learning industry and the skills that are required in the companies right now. So they created ‘Khawna’ to lessen the gap of underemployed Filipinos who don’t have the necessary skills to be employed.

Through education, they believe that users can be employed even though of the job mismatches. As of today, the app continues to gain many users. People just can enroll by signing up and downloading the app through Khawna.com and they could use it for free. The guests then talked about their products and on how they continue to maintain their system and answered questions from the listeners.

The success of this two startups only shows that Philippines has the capabilities to provide the world with new services and ideas that aim to help individuals. You may check www.khawna.com and www.guestlist.ph for more information.
