Santa Rosa de Lima Church was built in the year 1792 with the arrival of Padre Francisco Favie. The town of Sta. Rosa used to be a small village in the town of Biñan called "Bukol" because the southern part of this area has many hills. The first house of worship was called "Bisita," and was erected adjacent to the old government building, and known as "Presidencia". This building remains standing next to the Old Government Building and known as Museo de Santa Rosa today. The church has eight large bells. Its sounds can be heard in nearby districts. Each bell has its own identity according to the names of saints. Santa Rosa De Lima - the largest bell, Santa Barbara, Santissimo Sacramento, San Juan Bautista, San Jose, Santa Cecilia, Santo Domingo.

The National Arts Center, currently administered by the Cultural Center of the Philippines, is a sanctuary for young and aspiring Filipino artists located in Mount Makiling, Los Baños, Laguna. The Center was established in 1976 by First Lady Imelda Marcos as a haven for young and aspiring artists. Its various buildings and facilities are scattered over 13.5 hectares of the Makiling Forest Reservation and also houses the Philippine High School for the Arts, a government-run secondary educational institution for gifted young artists.
