Located at the heart of Manila, Divisoria is a market district that has been the favorite shopping destination for many Filipinos, especially during Christmas and holidays. Here are my recollections trip during my recent visit to Divisoria as I rediscover one of the most famous places in the Philippines. I am reminded how my mother goes to Divisoria to buy me a pearl necklace every Christmas.

Malate at its Best

The place has a lot of recreational facilities and amenities that will satisfy the needs of nearby residents as well as tourists and guests. Malate is continuously transforming itself as the center of recreation and entertainment of Manila with more restaurants, boutiques, bars, discos and novelty stores opening for business. The block bounded by the streets; Maria Orosa, Julio Nakpil, Adriatico and Remedios have become synonymous to "street parties," al fresco dining, street dancing and concerts.
