Touted as the “Fireworks Capital of the Philippines,” Bocaue has been known throughout the country because of its fireworks industry that has been frequented by thousands of buyers every year. Although this year’s number of buyers has somewhat decreased compared to last year, there are still lots of people who flock to Bocaue in preparation for New Year's Eve celebrations.

A private property owned by Mayor Epifanio V. Guillermo covering four hectares, Camp Nathaniel was named after his late son, Nathaniel R. Guillermo. Mayor Peping started to develop the place into a camping site back in 2005 and was used as the site of the first Marilao District Camporette in February of 2006. It has since then become a favorite destination for camping, scouting, picnics and other outdoor activities. Planted with more than a thousand fruit-bearing trees and a wide variety of vegetable plants, the place appeals to the adventurous spirits and nature lovers as it offers many pleasurable explorations.

National Shrine of The Divine Mercy

It was elevated to the status of a National Shrine by Archbishop Orlando Quevedo of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines. The first Eucharist was celebrated at this site on February 2, 1992, during the Feast of the presentation of our Lady.
